Linked up a fresh batch of the latest and greatest homes for sale around Calgary. Some very interesting entries in the field this time around... lots of brand new development for sale.
Already, some of the listings are sold, or changed to conditional sales (C/S). Unfortunately some people's software out there immediately stops listing a C/S or SOLD place. I understand people aren't going to want to see houses they can't buy, but for those just interested - or for those who might be interested if the conditions aren't met - it seems wise to keep listings up (with a note), while perhaps removing them from the respective \"houses for sale\" lists.
We've actually had one place disappear (C/S) and then reappear (failed condition?) which possibly shows we shouldn't immediately remove a listing if it's sold - a quick search of other listing services may show the house could still re-appear.
I think the decision is a house who's moved to C/S or SOLD will be flagged on the main page, and then removed a few days later (if SOLD).
After 10 days of rapid development, we're live! Fortunately our Gnabgib fueled site runs on their stellar framework - which makes putting a site together a very quick process.
A few days ago I picked the houses to go on here... based on what I thought was interesting. That probably means my houses are a little more expensive then the majority (you pay a preimum for interesting). There are tons of very typical looking houses for sale all over town, but choosing those wouldn't have made for very interesting real-estate listings. That being said - my stats will be skewed until people start suggesting other houses to list on here.
